I’m always looking to improve both my practice and the courses that are provided by the companies I work for. Working with other trainers and reviewing practice regularly is essential, especially for freelance trainers who may otherwise find themselves out of date.

I work well both on a one-to-one basis, during training sessions, or leading seminars, discussion sessions and presentations to large audiences. I have managed teams of freelance instructors, and liaise with clients, venues, instructors and training providers on a daily basis.

Designing training programmes specific to clients requirements, and rolling them out across the UK has been integral to the success of my driver training businesses, including Beyond Driving (which is now under new ownership) and Devon 4×4 Training. This work has involced evidence gathering, risk assessment, production of safe working practices and procedures for candidates and instructors, as well as developing course materials and working with certificating bodies to ensure compliance and approval.

Business development and promotion have been a key area for the success of my business, and I take the job of pushing a message of continual improvement to clients and candidates alike. As such I am constantly engaged with social media, SEO and website development.

Budgets and timescales are two areas where I work dilligently to ensure that we never let a client down. Efficiency and efficacy are integral to all of the work that I do. I work quickly and cost effectively for every client, large or small.
